First Open Day at The Studio
The first Open Day at The Studio was a fantastic success on all counts. It was lovely to see so many friendly and familiar faces and also to meet some new ones. Hundreds of people came along despite the hideous weather, and I feel very blessed.
It was a mad dash to get everything sorted and I am so grateful to friends and family for helping make this dream come true.
My husband and my father worked so hard building shelves and hanging pictures. My kids and my nieces and nephew played beautifully (in the mud) while we spend hours/days working on the set-up, and my mum and sisters outdid themselves helping to prepare, while dealing with their own art and set up. It was real family team-work!
Here are some of my favourite shots of The Studio, including one by Diana from Hots Shots to Go in Cambridge (Who does our fantastic framing), and was kind enough to make me more photogenic than usual!
I love how the old wood beautifully enhances the art in these shots and I'm very lucky to be able to use the furniture of Finders Keepers Vintage for staging,
